Kaitlin Olson was born Kaitlin Willow Olson on the 18th of August, 1975 in Portland, Oregon. She is the daughter of Melinda Leora, a nurse, and Donald Lee Olson, a publisher. Her childhood was characterized by the relocation of her family from one place to another, Soon after her birth the family moved to Spokane, then to Vashon Island, Puget Sound, and finally, Tualatin where she was raised in the reserves. 

When she was only 12 years old, Kaitlin Olson got a serious accident that involved her bicycle and vehicle. The accident was so serious that she fractured her skull, and hence a reconstructive surgery had to be done immediately to save her life.

As for education, Kaitlin Olson attended Tigard High School in Tigard, Oregon from which she graduated in 1993. Upon completion of her high school education, Olson joined the University of Oregon where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts and graduated in 1997. Soon after the completion of her studies, Kaitlin Olson relocated to Los Angeles to put her studies and ambitions into practice. It was here where she began her professional acting with an Improvisational group by the name “The Groundlings”.

Passionate about acting, Kaitlin Olson moved to Los Angeles soon after her graduation from the University of Oregon to pursue her professional acting career. Olson also played Traylor on the show “The Drew Carrey Show”.
