“Abortion Is Not Guarantee In The Constitution.”____Mississippi Gov.Reeves

The Executive Governor of Mississippi, Gov. Tate Reeves announced on Sunday that “there is no guaranteed right to an abortion” in the United State Constitution and that type of issue suppose to be by individual states. He made the comments after the hearing of Supreme Court oral arguments last week in a case focusing on his state’s 15-week abortion ban that has the ability to limit abortion access througout the Country.

During his appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” program, the Republican Governor said that judging from the justices’ line of questioning, he has believes that the pro-life movement will be given a major win, as his state’s case may end up in shifting from rulings in abortion rights cases Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

According to Reeves, “This has been a watershed moment in the history of American over the last week, this case, many of us in the pro-life movement have been hoping would come before the court for many years, clearly, the question by number of justices led many people across America and particularly journalists who opine that they were looking very favorably on upholding the case, the Dobbs case, the Mississippi case, and that’s certainly a favorable outcome for us.”

“In my opinion, If you read the Constitution, there is no assured right to an abortion in the Constitution, and also not only that, there’s nothing in the Constitution that prohibits individual states from enacting their own laws, after all, that really is what our fathers who had lived before us want and is not explicit in the Constitution, it should be left to the state legislatures and the democratic process.”
