Dr Biman B. Mandal of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati who was first appointed amongst the World’s Top 2% scientist by Stanford University, is existing bestowed with the prestigious Swarna Jayanti Fellowship by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India for the year 2019-2020.  

He earned the medal in the “Life Science” classification for his significant study in the region of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.

The Swarna Jayanti Fellowships were begun by DST to celebrate India’s 50th year of Independence.

He will henceforth be earning a top-up income and high-value study budgets for the following 5 years to promote elevated extent of independence and flexibility.

Dr. Biman B. Mandal is a Professor at the Department of Biosciences & Bioengineering and Centre for Nanotechnology and furthermore the Associate Dean of Academics (UG) at IIT Guwahati.

He earned his Ph.D from IIT Kharagpur and Post Doctorate from Tufts University, Boston, USA. Dr Mandal has successfully transferred/licensed 03 healthcare technologies to Industry and has disseminated 141+ peer surveyed elevated effect magazine essays with a total consequence characteristic of 748+, 5300+ quotations and H-index of 38.

He is the lead producer in 17 documents, participated 09 novel divisions, transmitted 67+ Plenary/Popular/Invited talks, Editorial committee partner of 12 International Journals.

He earned the medal in the “Life Science” classification for his significant study in the region of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.

During the Fellowship duration, he will be helping on a program named “Modelling mortal liver micro-architecture and cellular physiology in vitro using 3D bio-printing for medication toxicity and elevated throughput medication screening applications.”

The formulated in vitro 3D bio-printed mortal liver criterion would enable the drug corporations to speed up the medication growth procedure enabling elevated throughput panning with lessened correlated creature expenses.

Lives of millions of creatures could be recouped in the procedure which is nowadays used as empirical criteria if an alternative human living criterion evolves reality.
