Upon graduating from Yale in 1973, Hilary continued to work with Edelman in Massachusetts for the Children’s Defense Fund. In 1974, Hillary was part of the Watergate inquiry into the possible impeachment of Pres. Richard M. Nixon after which she moved to Arkansas where started teaching law at the University of Arkansas School of Law. Later she became a partner of the prominent Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Hillary supported his husband in securing the Arkansas gubernatorial seat in 1980. All through his husband’s tenure as the Governor for Arkansas, Hillary maintained a successful law practice while at the same time she worked for programs that aided children and the disadvantaged. Hillary also chaired the Arkansas Education Standards Committee where she launched the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, a move which earned her the titles, “Arkansas Woman of the Year” (1983) and “Arkansas Young Mother of the Year” (1984).

Later in 2001, Hillary ran for Arkansas senatorial seat and won it. He was a senator for two times with his tenure ending in 2009 after which he was appointed the Secretary to the State by Barack Obama’s administration. He held the office up until 2013. Later in 2016, Clinton ran for the U.S presidency under the Democratic Party ticket but unfortunately lost to Republican Donald Trump.
